QUELDDY CULVER

Quelddy Culver was born in Caracas, Venezuela and began her dance training at the age of five. At the age of twelve she was offered a full scholarship to the Keyla Ermecheo School of Ballet in Caracas, where she studied under the tutelage of Vladimir Issaev, Vladimir Lopoukhov, Rafael Portillo, Eric Volodin and Irina Lopoukhova.

She joined Ballet Metropolitano de Caracas in 1991, dancing soloist roles in the full-length productions of Coppelia, Don Quixote, Giselle, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker. For five years she worked for Ballet Metropolitano de Caracas as a company member and also as Assistant to the Artistic Director.

Since 1998, Ms. Culver has been teaching ballet in California. She has appeared with the Nevada Festival Ballet and the Santa Clara Ballet.
