Trained in classical ballet, Mary Ellen Hunt (mehunt) began
studying in New York at the New York School of Ballet, where she learned
to value dance history from an early age. As a dancer, she has worked with
Eliot Feld Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem and various regional companies
around the country. Currently, she continues to perform with the
San Francisco-based Chamberdance.
For three years she served as General Manager for Words on
Dance, a lecture/interview series featuring great dance artists of the
past and present and for the last two years, she was the Website Producer
of Voice of Dance, an online dance magazine and resource website.
