I saw 'Masquerade' a couple of years ago and I have to say that, despite Durante and Kobborg, it all seemed a bit dull. IP: Logged |

Judith Mackrell enjoys two out of three in the Royal Ballet New Works programme in the small Linbury Theatre at the ROH. Wayne McGregor's 'Symbiont', goes down very well - it is an extract from the terrific work I saw in the Clore Studio Theatre (with a much larger stage) 3 weeks ago. Matthew Hart's new work does not please, but Ashley Page's 'Sleeping With Audrey' is well received.

Judith Mackrell reviews the second part of the RB New Works programme and finds much to enjoy, as I did. I did enjoy 'Aeon's Run' much more than her and so did most of those I spoke to - maybe a fraction long. Some of the 'tutu only' brigade were grumbling, however. Time permitting, I'll write a review. www.guardianunlimited.co.uk/reviews/story/0,3604,337670,00.html IP: Logged |

John Percival finds the RB New works programme a mix of good and not so good, but feels that I terms of new works the success rate is good. http://www.independent.co.uk/enjoyment/Theatre/Dance/Reviews/2000-07/dance030700.shtml
