Forum and the Ballet-Dance Monthly Online Magazine
- CriticalDance is an
international site in support of and administered by the dance
community, dedicated to all types of performance dance, but
especially ballet and modern. This site includes a moderated
bulletin board, reviews, features, interviews, and links to
select dance pages. CriticalDance is hosted by Ezaddin
Publications as a public community service. The URL for

- Ballet-Dance Monthly is an
international online publication that is also distributed via
HTML e-mail to subscribers worldwide. The magazine represents a
mix of interviews, features, reviews and recent discussion topics
in the CriticalDance forum. Ballet-Dance Monthly is published by

Both
CriticalDance and Ballet-Dance Monthly have received
international accolades for timely coverage, quality of
production, exposure of lesser-known companies and events, and
critical fundraising efforts.

Advertising in the
CriticalDance Forum or the Ballet-Dance Monthly
Magazine
CriticalDance and Ballet-Dance
Monthly offer a variety of ad specifications and rates to fit
most needs, as detailed below. Please note the steep discounts
for first-time customers, non-profit organizations and local
events. Please also contact us if you have unique
requirements. You may direct all advertising-related
correspondence and inquiries to:

Types of ads
Please note
that not all types of ads are suitable for the forum or the
magazine. As such, the types of ads are generally limited to the
following:
CriticalDance forum --
Performances, festivals, fundraisers, and general PR that is
non-retail in nature. All ads must be related to ballet, modern
dance or any other form of performance dance.
Ballet-Dance Monthly
magazine -- Any ads normally considered suitable in any
general publication, such as the New York Times for
example.
Exceptions
can be made but the decision by Ezaddin Publications will be
final. Under no circumstances will lewd or offensive ads be
allowed.

Notes:
- Currency
is in United States Dollars;
- Ads run from
Sunday to Saturday, US PST;
- Ads are
placed in the CriticalDance forum only and will appear on the top
of all international pages in the forum (i.e. not in
localized pages such as UK and French forums);
- Orders
must be placed at least one week in advance;
- Ads can be
placed up to one year in advance;
- Ezaddin
Publications reserves the right to refuse any ads even after
orders are accepted;
- Ezaddin
Publications does not guarantee top placement of ads over other
ads.
The
following discounts apply:
- If the ad
is placed for two successive weeks: 5%
- If the ad
is placed for three successive weeks: 7.5%
- If the ad
is placed for four successive weeks or more: 15%
- Non-Profit
Organizations (Public Benefit Charitable Corporations): 10%
applied to net rates after any discount above
- Multiple-publication
incentive: 15% applied to net rates after all discounts above
if an ad is also ordered for the Ballet-Dance Monthly magazine at
the time of order
- First-time incentive: 20%
applied to net rates after all discounts above for all ads placed
in the first order, up to one year in advance

Notes:
- Currency

remain on the selected month's issue of the magazine as long as
the page is available online (at least one year);
- Ads will
also appear in the copy of the selected month's issue that is
delivered electronically to subscribers;
- Date of publication
of each month's issue is approximately the second Saturday of
each of month;
- Sidebars
will be placed in the left hand sidebar of the front page of the
selected month's issue;
- Orders must
be placed at least one week prior to the end of the month for
inclusion in the following month's issue;
- Ads can be
placed up to one year in advance;
- Ezaddin Publications
reserves the right to refuse any ads even after orders are accepted;
- Ezaddin Publications

Submission and Ordering Requirements
- All files
must be in JPG or GIF format and must fit within the size
specifications detailed above;
- Orders
must be e-mailed to ads@criticaldance.com;
- Include
the JPG or GIF files;
- Include
name, address, phone number, fax number and email address (this
entity will be considered both the point of contact as well as
the invoicee, unless other arrangements are requested). A letter
of intent or agreement will be faxed to the point of
contact;
- Specify if
ads are to be placed in the CriticalDance forum, the Ballet-Dance
Monthly magazine or both;
- For ads in
the CriticalDance forum, specify the day to start and number of
weeks for each ad;
- For ads in
the Ballet-Dance Monthly magazine, specify the month/s to be
placed for each ad;
- Specify
the URL to be associated with each ad;
- Sign the
letter of intent or agreement and return by fax to Ezaddin
Publications or its designated agent to authorize the
order.
Payment and Conditions
All
advertising billings direct to advertiser are at published rates
unless arranged otherwise in advance. Please note that rates and
conditions are subject to change but will be posted clearly on
this page or in the letter of intent or agreement prior to
authorization.
Advertisers
and advertising agencies are jointly responsible for payment of
all funds due and payable to Ezaddin Publications or an agent
designated by Ezaddin Publications.
Ezaddin
Publications will invoice the agency or advertiser upon
publication.
Invoices
must be paid within 30 days. Past due invoices are subject to a
1.5% service charge per month.
Delinquent
accounts may be restricted from further advertising until
accounts are paid in full. Interruption in advanced orders due to
nonpayment will cause the advertiser to forfeit discounted rates.
Ezaddin Publications reserves the right to require full payment
in advance.
A signed
letter of intent or agreement must be returned to Ezaddin
Publications by fax prior to the start date of the ad.
For
repeating advertisers, prior ads will be used if new artwork is
not received by the required deadline.
No
conditions, printed or otherwise, on advertiser's or agency's
insertion order, billing instructions or copy instructions which
conflict with Ezaddin Publications, CriticalDance or Ballet-Dance
Monthly stated policies will be binding on Ezaddin Publications,
CriticalDance or Ballet-Dance Monthly.
Ezaddin
Publications reserves the right to refuse any advertising.
Advertisers and advertising agencies are responsible for the
content of all advertisements and for any resulting claims made
against Ezaddin Publications, its agents, or its
representatives.
